‘Oro Verde’ Extra Virgin Olive Oil | 250ml Bottle | Podere Tesoro
Oro Verde Extra Virgin Olive Oil crafted from olives harvested in November and cold-pressed immediately. It has a delicate, fruity flavour with subtle almond notes, perfect both Mediterranean.
Plant Varieties: Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, and Pendolino. Our olive groves are located at an ideal altitude of approximately 300-400 meters above sea level, with excellent sun exposure. This ensures low acidity in terms of oleic acid.
Yield: 10-12% from organic farming.
Pressing: First cold pressing method.
Acidity: Low acidity, not exceeding 0.1%.
Harvest and Processing: Harvest occurs in early November, with olives handpicked, placed in small crates, and taken to the mill for pressing within 12-24 hours. Only the first pressing is used to retain the essence of the olives. Cold pressing method is applied (temperature not exceeding 27°C). The resulting oil is of extremely limited quantity and exceptional quality, showcasing its authenticity.
Characteristics: It boasts a deeper green color at pressing, transitioning to a gentle yellow hue. Its taste is delicately fresh and fruity, with a subtle spiciness that doesn’t overpower the palate, remaining light with hints of almond.
Pairings: Ideal for raw use, enhancing Mediterranean dishes like salads, soups, Tuscan bruschetta, and Florentine schiacciata. Also a healthy butter substitute in dessert preparation.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
